Hammer & Tongs At WASHOUGAL'S MX Park For Round 3 of 6 in 2009!

DT Exposures was pleased to have spent some time this last weekend with the Pacific NW Vintage Motocross Scene here in the NW at Washougal, Washington. This event is held annual and sponsored by the folks at SiegeCraftNW. While we did not attend the races on Saturday, we were pleased to see the weather lift and make for a killer day at the track on Sunday.

On Sunday, there was a mix of racing in both the Vintage Classes (Pre 1974) and what is called Evolution (1975 to 1980 Models). These classes are a mix of both 2 & 4 stroke bikes and the riders ages varied from young children up to experienced adults. For anything over 125 CC, you must be a minimum of 13 years old. Classes range from 13+ years old to 70+.

This was our first time at this event and all that I can say is that it was an amazing day of racing. If you are into older vintage MX, and haven't had a chance to check these guys out, you are missing out on some great action. H&T 2009 comprises Six Races - season from March to November.
